Michael J. Bevan, Ph.D., F.R.S.
Brief Bio
Michael J. Bevan is professor emeritus in the Department of Immunology at the University of Washington. Dr. Bevan received his Ph.D. in Immunology at The National Institute for Medical Research int Mill Hill, London, in 1972. Prior to joining the University of Washington in 1990, he held positions at Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California, (1982–1990) the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1977–1982), and The Salk Institute (1976–1977). He retired August 31, 2015, from his position as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator. He was awarded the AAI Excellence in Mentoring Award in 2000 and elected a Distinguished Fellow of AAI in 2020.
